James McIlwain, D.D.S.
A Florida native, Dr. James E.
McIlwain received his pediatric dental training at Emory University
in Atlanta. Following dental school, he served in multiple Air Force
assignments for the next eleven years. Teaching and education have
always been a high priority, serving on the faculty at universities
in Texas and Florida.
Dr. McIlwain is an active member of the
Episcopal church and has donated his talents with those less
fortunate. For over ten years he has been ministering to the
children in the Dominican Republic, collecting medical supplies,
clothing and toys year round. Additionally, he makes several trips
annually to the island, as a team leader in charge of providing
medical and dental care for the children there.
He has practiced in Tampa for more
than twenty years, but never lost the quest for new advancements in
patient treatment. Individual attention and comprehensive care for
each child are foremost priorities in his routine of treatment.
Dr. McIlwain is Board Certified by the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Orthodontic
Society. He is past president of the Southeastern Society of
Pediatric Dentistry, and serves on state, regional, and national
organizations.

Leigh Ann McIlwain, D.M.D.
Dr. Leigh Ann McIlwain has been working with her father
since 1978. In those early years she assisted him at chair side, earning allowance during
school holidays and vacations. That experience led her naturally to pursue pediatric
dentistry as a profession.
Dr. McIlwain received her doctorate from Tufts University,
College of Dentistry. During dental school, she worked at Harvard Children's Hospital in
the pediatric dental clinic, assisting in clinical and surgical cases. She then completed
her pediatric specialty training at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. She
has completed her board training for the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is currently
an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University
of Florida.
She is a mother of three wonderful children and her love and experience with
children make her a strong advocate for children's issues. Dr. McIlwain is
on staff at Tampa Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s, and All
Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Pediatric Dentistry, first female president of the Florida Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, and the past Membership Council Chairman for the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She also holds membership
in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental
Association, and the Hillsborough County Dental Association.

Michael McIlwain, D.M.D.

Dr. Mike
McIlwain grew up in Tampa along with his 5 sisters and brother. He
graduated from Berkeley Preparatory School where he was captain of
the soccer team, was chosen as Florida Soccer Player of the year for
the state as a senior, was on the Southern Olympic Soccer Team and
was also chosen as one of the 11 soccer players of the decade by the
Tampa Tribune 2000. Dr. Mike went on to play soccer at the
University of Maryland. He
is married to Cristina Yarnoz McIlwain, a graduate of the University
of Florida School of Law . They have a growing family, with a
daughter plus 3 Labrador Retrievers.
Dr.
McIlwain attended dental school and received his pediatric dental
training at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville. He
is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and
has extensive training in sedation and general anesthesia procedures.
He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the
American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the
West Coast Dental Association, the Hillsborough County Dental
Association, and the American Orthodontic Society.

Michael Chiaramonte, D.M.D.
Dr.
Michael Chiaramonte is a graduate of Tufts University, College of
Dentistry. He is a New England native, having grown up in
Caribou, Maine and completed his undergraduate degree at The
University of Maine. Post doctorate training includes oral
surgery fellowships at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital and
Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also completed a
general practice residency at the Veteran's Hospital in Gainesville,
Florida. His extensive training encompasses all aspects of
General and Esthetic Dentistry, utilizing the latest state of the
art techniques and materials.
Dr. Chiaramonte is married to Dr.
Leigh Ann McIlwain. Together they have helped Dr. McIlwain
build a family practice based on the values and principals
established over the senior doctor's twenty years of practice
philosophy.
Dr. Chiaramonte is a member of the
honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the Dental Research
Society of Hillsborough County, the Florida Dental Association, the
American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Alyssa Marlin, D.M.D.
Dr.
Alyssa Marlin, a Florida native, received her undergraduate degree
from the University of Florida and her dental degree from the
University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed
a general practice residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical
Center, part of the top ten hospital systems in the United States.
Dr. Marlin was an Associate Professor at the Columbia University
School of Dental Medicine, which allowed her the opportunity to work
with some of the top specialists in the dental community.
Dr. Marlin focuses her professional attention on General and
Esthetic Dentistry and how it relates to our health management. She
is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental
Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and Alpha Omega
International Dental Fraternity.
